Celebrated appreciation in beautiful weather

Big family party at Kessler & Co.

Abtsgmünd - Those who wanted to cool off a bit in the heat could do so at a rolling "monster", which also contains state-of-the-art transmission technology from Kessler + Co. The "Z6" airfield fire-fighting vehicle from the specialty company "Ziegler" was one of the many highlights at the Abtsgmünd company's big family day - with around 3,000 guests on Saturday (July 16) in and around the new Kessler Plant IV in Dettenried.

Shortly before delivery to Qatar, the impressive water cannon (39 tons, 770 hp) stopped off for tests on the Ostalb. Despite its colossal weight, the "Z6" can accelerate to 120 km/h. Its extinguishing fountains spray up to 90 meters, enabling it to extinguish burning aircraft from a safe distance, for example. The desert-colored giant was a real crowd puller and attracted many visitors.

Next door, the Abtsgmünd youth fire department showed what it can already do; just a few meters away, visitors were able to complete a course on an electric Segway. For the first time since the Corona pandemic, Kessler + Co. had again invited all employees as well as their families to a big party with a full program of activities. This was a sign of the company's appreciation for the outstanding performance of its 950 employees.

The globally operating producer of heavy-duty axles and transmissions had a lot on offer for children in particular: whether the bouncy castle, target shooting, face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon figures or trampolining - lots of fun and laughter everywhere on the factory premises.

Many festival guests soared above it all: they virtually flew through the air in a crane basket at almost 50 meters high, enjoying a fantastic panoramic view of the Ostalb and the Kocher Valley. The two mobile cranes from the Helling company on site also feature axle technology from Kessler + Co.

Visitors were able to fortify themselves at six stations and at the beverage stands in the shipping hall at the plant, cocktails included. The Abtsgmünder and Hohenstädter music clubs provided am atmosphere of entertainment on the stage.

The employees, alumni and their families gladly accepted the colorful offer; the large crowd shows how high is the solidarity with the company, and how close to home, is. "Appreciation for good work and loyal employees is extremely important to us. That is why we are very happy to invite all Kessler families to this party such as that we can celebrate together and also say thank you in this way," explains the Kessler management - Gerhard, Manfred, Simon and Max Grimminger.
